Insulation methods
Several factors determine the type of insulation for your roof: the age of the building, the condition of the existing insulation, the material used, the climate and the available budget are some of them.
- Conventional insulation
- The classic way: we waterproof first and then insulate.
- Inverted insulation
- Unlike the conventional method, we place the thermal insulation above the waterproofing.
- Waterproofing only
- If you only need waterproofing, it can be done with either bituminous membranes or hyperdesmo.
Both methods, conventional and inverted, include all the materials for every stage of a complete roof insulation (bitumen, polystyrene, cement, bituminous membranes, sealants).
Waterproofing and thermal insulation
Waterproofing protects the roof from water. Thermal insulation, on the other hand, keeps the building's temperature at normal levels. Combined, they offer all the advantages of both.
